The prestigious event takes place on October 16-19 in the city affectionally known as ‘The Big Easy’, home to jazz, Mardi Gras Carnival, distinctive architecture and wonderful food and culture.
This year’s conference will be staged at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, giving delegates an opportunity to learn, exchange views and forge relationships in the heart of the vibrant centre of the city.
The highlight of the Praxity calendar, the hotly anticipated Global Conference is attended by Managing Partners, CEO’s and accounting professionals from member firms around the world.
This year’s event will be the first opportunity in three years for many delegates to meet face to face, share technical and local knowledge, and discuss the issues that matter. It features a packed programme of topical and insightful presentations, discussion and workshops, coupled with networking events and top draw entertainment.
The ultimate experience
The theme is Putting the X in PraXity – the ultimate client, firm, employee and digital Xperiences – to elevate your people and your business. Leading experts will share insights on how to enhance the four key elements of the Praxity experience:
CX - Client Xperience
Eric Gregg will talk about how firms can ensure that their clients have an outstanding experience. This will lead in turn to excellent client retention and an enhanced reputation and ultimately long term sustained growth. The Praxity Key Success Metrics task force will also share some of the work they have been doing around measuring the client experience.
FX - Firm Xperience
This session will focus on how member firms experience service levels from other member firms. The interactive workshop will aim to produce a charter to guide how member firms work together.
EX - Employee Xperience
We will examine three key aspects affecting how employees experience working for firms. Marco Carlei of SW will share some experiences on things to think about before, during and after a merger or acquisition. Jim Proppe of Plante Moran will talk about how to maintain a continually engaged workforce. Plante Moran is in the Fortune Hall of Fame as a best company to work for. Finally, Ian McVicar of Albert Goodman will share how the firm transitioned from a majority male to a majority female partnership.
DX - Digital Xperience
This stream will feature a panel discussion with three technology specialists from firms of varying sizes across the globe. It will focus on some of the key things to think about today and tomorrow when working in a hybrid environment.
Unique insights
The conference will kick off with an overview of USA politics, economy and the profession from host firm FORVIS before Praxity Chairman Phil Verity updates delegates on latest developments within the Alliance in his ‘State of the Nation’ address. Leading specialists at Praxity member firms will also provide updates on key disciplines including audit, tax, ESG, outsourcing and M&A.
World-renowned economist, Dr Marci Rossell, is sure to set the conference alight when she takes to the stage to provide her future economic outlook. Dr Rossell is known for her sharp insights and animated style which she honed while Chief Economist for U.S. broadcaster CNBC, achieving some of the highest ratings in CNBC history.
One of the most trusted names in financial reporting and economics, Dr Rossell is a highly sought-after economic counsel who has advised Wall Street’s top companies. She is known for her ability to break down complex issues and relate them to what matters most to an audience.
The event will also feature Praxity’s AGM and meetings of working groups and regional committees, including the first face to face meetings of Praxity’s newly created M&A, ESG and Outsourcing working groups.
We will also travel back a century to a 1920s speakeasy and jazz bar for the farewell function. If you’re feeling brave, sign up for a ghost tour! Or simply go for a wander and explore the sights, sounds and tastes that make this city such a memorable place.
