Cambodian firm KPA joins Praxity

Praxity has extended its reach further into Asia with the addition of highly-regarded Cambodian firm K Professional Accountants (KPA).

Winner of the Most Innovative Accountancy Firm in Cambodia (2016) and the Most Outstanding Full Service SME in Asia (2017), KPA has a reputation for delivering quality professional services in an efficient way to provide added value for clients.

Based in Cambodian capital Phnom Penh, KPA specialises in audit and assurance, accounting outsourced services, business advisory, tax and financial management training. The firm serves a broad range of sectors including telecoms, State-owned enterprises, garment manufacturers, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia (CSX), tour and travel agents, airlines, large corporates and SMEs and not-for-profit organizations.

Great synergy

Joining the Praxity ‘family’ opens up exciting opportunities for growth. KPA’s Managing Partner Darith Khun explains: “K Professional Accountants are hugely proud to join Praxity, the world’s top global alliance for independent accounting firms. Praxity’s rich global resources, expertise and networking opportunities provide great synergy for KPA and will help us become the ‘accountancy firm of choice’ in Cambodia.” He adds:

“Being a member of Praxity will enable our staff, management and partners to have full access to the Praxity platform, working groups and extensive support. This will equip our professionals with the technical expertise and knowledge necessary to provide services at international standards.”

Joining Praxity provides not only an opportunity for KPA experts to grow their skillsets but also to share technical know-how with professionals from other member firms, especially through membership of the Global Audit and Tax working groups. KPA’s leadership team and partners, all CPA/FCCA qualified, have combined experience of more than 18 years in business improvements, tax practices and assurance engagements.

Empowered by knowledge

Darith says the learning and collaboration benefits of being a member of Praxity will enable KPA to achieve its vision of “people empowered by knowledge to provide excellent and distinctive professional services to clients worldwide”. Moreover, it will enable the firm to fulfil its mission of “strengthening the capacity of professional accountants and enterprises on business process improvements to ensure full compliance with accounting and auditing laws and obligations of enterprises for statutory audits, as well as to grow with confidence”.

KPA becomes the fifth firm to join Praxity in recent months, further extending the Alliance’s global reach. Praxity has also recently welcomed Shankar Associates in Nepal, Hamed AlShameri CPAs in Yemen, Puente Sur in Chile and MD CPA in Puerto Rico.

Granting membership to quality firms in these regions forms part of a clear strategy to achieve balanced global representation of high-quality firms with technical and local expertise. Praxity now consists of 54 independent firms in 122 countries and holds No.1 spot in the IAB World Table of accounting associations.
