Navigating Change in Amsterdam: The Praxity Way
Amsterdam 2025 June 1st - June 3rd
This year’s Global Tax and Assurance Conference in Amsterdam marked a subtle evolution in format and focus. Held from June 1–3, the event welcomed over 150 professionals from across the Alliance, with a broadened agenda that included assurance services for the first time. This expansion reflected the growing relevance of cross-disciplinary collaboration and the need for firms to engage across service lines.
The dynamic of the conference was shaped in part by recent changes within the Alliance. The result was a more relationship-led experience, with networking and inter-firm engagement taking centre stage.
New member firms brought fresh energy, engaging with working groups and exploring where they could contribute and benefit. The atmosphere was open and welcoming, with a strong emphasis on practical connection.
One of the standout moments was the showcase session, where firms presented themselves in a booth-style format. This visual and interactive approach allowed participants to explore regional strengths and forge connections with firms operating in areas of strategic interest. The format was well received, offering a transparent and engaging way to learn about each other’s capabilities. Not only that but it fostered some healthy cross firm competition, with members trying to out-do each other, offering a wide range of give-aways. We look forward to some friendly one-upmanship next year.

The conference also featured a city-wide scavenger hunt, aptly named Wild Goose, which encouraged informal collaboration and creativity. Participants filmed their own adventures, later sharing the videos with the wider group to much amusement. It was a light-hearted but effective way to build camaraderie.
Keynote speaker Eelco van der Enden, CEO of Accountancy Europe, brought valuable insight into the shifting industry landscape, reinforcing the importance of adaptability and shared learning. The Praxity Assurance Committee also made its presence felt, promoting deeper collaboration in assurance and exploring tools and technologies to support best practice across the Alliance. You can read more about this in our PAC update.
The final evening featured an offsite dinner at the Maritime Museum providing a perfect blend cultural richness with meaningful conversation. As ever, when Praxity firms come together, it’s not just a meeting of professionals but a chance to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new ones, all in the spirit of shared success.
