The Praxity UK & Ireland Spring Conference brought a record number of firms, experts and financial analysts to The Belfry Hotel, Birmingham, on the 7th and 8th of March 2023.

With over 90 attendees from 10 different firms across the UK and Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and the US, this conference was the largest yet, building on 2022’s record numbers. This sharing of expertise and vision is crucial to the working of the Praxity Alliance, giving leaders in our member firms the chance to explore current trends, think around relevant issues and predict future risks.

Guest Speaker Jo Mousley opened the conference, with an insightful keynote speech at the Welcome Dinner exploring aspects of good and bad Leadership. The Conference then split into 10 working groups, where leaders and innovators could explore topics with precision and clarity, guiding each other on best practice and using their experience to explore complexities in the accountancy industry.

Two of the most recently welcomed member firms, Magma of the UK and McInerney Saunders of Ireland, were well-represented at the Conference. We are delighted to welcome them to the Praxity Alliance, with their agility and knowhow, offering even more facets to collaborative working.

Upcoming conferences promise to offer more important opportunities for learning, case studies and networking. The Praxity Global Tax Conference at the Marriott Hotel in Prague will explore key concepts and developments in the industry, as well as giving member firms the opportunity to meet face to face and develop connections within the Alliance. Secondments, incoming ESG reporting legislation and a changing global business environment are just some areas featuring on the agenda.

The Praxity UK & Ireland Autumn Conference meanwhile will take place between the 19th-20th September at The Belfry. In addition, we take the Global Leadership Conference to the Waldorf Cavalieri in Rome between the 22nd-25th of October, with the North American International Tax Conference set for 6th-8th of November at the Hilton in Austin, Texas.
