The Last Word
What captures Alliance professionals' interest away from the office?
The Last Word is our regular feature, where we ask some personal questions of Praxity Alliance professionals. While they’re better known within the Alliance for their working credentials, here they have the chance to tell us more about themselves away from the office.
In this edition, we put Praxity CEO Samantha Louis under the spotlight…

Samantha Louis
CEO, Praxity

What was the last TV show or film you watched that you'd recommend, and what made it stand out?
I’m loving Yellowstone and found the two prequels 1883 and 1923 gripping.

What’s the last meal you cooked or enjoyed that brought you comfort or joy?
I love cooking and regularly try new dishes. I recently discovered the most decadent roast potato recipe using clotted cream as the cooking fat.

When was the last time you exercised or moved your body in a way that felt good?
Pilates is my go to exercise and I try to go a couple of times a week. I frequently discover muscles I didn’t know existed.

What’s the last app you downloaded, and how has it been useful (or not)?
A sleep tracking app, but I don’t think it’s very good. If its accurate I am in a sleep deficit from which I’ll never recover.

What’s the last restaurant or cafe you visited, and what did you order?
La Ballerina restaurant opposite the Royal Opera House for a quick bite before going to see Giselle.

When was the last time you laughed out loud—and what sparked it?
Every day. Laughter is the best medicine.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received recently, and how has it influenced you?
A mental note isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.
Anyone who knows me knows I take copious notes.

What’s something surprising about you that people wouldn’t guess at first?
I studied drama and was a professional dancer and dance teacher in my youth.

When was the last time you shared a meaningful hug, and with whom?
With my family - as often as possible.
