Praxity Conference Reviews

Global Leadership Conference, Los Angeles

The Terranea Resort in Los Angeles was the impressive backdrop for Praxity’s 2025 Global Leadership Conference, one of the most anticipated events in the Alliance calendar. Senior leaders and decision-makers from member firms around the world gathered to explore this year’s theme: EPIC – Every Person is Connected. The concept set the tone for a fantastic few days of discussion, discovery and connection, highlighting how people, technology and collaboration combine to drive global success in an increasingly digital world.

A Wellness-Inspired Start

In true Californian spirit, the conference began with a guided run along the dramatic Pacific coastline. Seasoned runners and first-timers alike took part in the 10k run, with a splinter group venturing off-route under the watchful eye of Alliance veteran Gerhard Meyer. Fabio Osorio from JA Del Río, doubled back to check on the group, clocking up extra miles without missing a beat. The wellness theme continued the next morning with a Pilates session overlooking the ocean, setting a relaxed tone before the strategic sessions began.

Sessions That Mattered

Leadership discussions focused on how firms can better support and retain talent in a hybrid, AI-driven environment. Conversations explored how individuals can thrive within global teams, with people-centric strategies taking centre stage.

Technical sessions delved into AI and tech integration, followed by regional breakouts that examined local trends, opportunities and challenges.

External speakers included Kim Bascoe from CPA.com who leads CPA.com’s CAS 2.0 practice transformation programs. Mark Edmondson who founded Inflo in 2016 to make cutting-edge audit technology accessible to all, and Bill Tomazin, Managing Principal at Makosi Strategy & Solutions.

Business Development Highlights

Welcoming new member firms is always a highlight, and this year’s introductions reflected Praxity’s expanding global reach. Speakers shared insights into building capability across borders, while discussions around joint proposals and shared service delivery showcased the Alliance’s potential as a platform for international growth.

Firms also explored ways to enhance their value propositions through deeper client relationships, tailored solutions and by tapping into the collective expertise of the Alliance.

Culture & Connection

The social side of the conference continues to be a powerful catalyst for relationship-building, and this year was no exception.

Praxity Lawn Olympics brought everyone together for an afternoon of light-hearted competition. From Rubber Chicken Slingshot to “Name That Tune,” teams donned matching bandanas and embraced the fun with typical enthusiasm. Individual and team prizes added to the spirit of friendly rivalry.

The conference wrapped up with a lively Western-style hoedown, complete with line dancing and a celebration of camaraderie and connection.

North American International Tax Conference, San Diego

The 2025 North American International Tax and Assurance conference ran from November 12th until 14th and was hosted in sunny San Diego. The conference served as a valuable opportunity for our people from across the world to gather, connect, and learn.

Open to all, the conference brought together experts of all levels, from junior to advanced, to learn from one another and engage with the most pressing issues at play in the tax world. Designed to cater to the varying levels of experience amongst our delegates, the conference included two bootcamps, alongside different tracks tailored to each level of skill. Every session guaranteed to be a relevant, engaging and valuable learning experience.

Naturally, the cohort came together to connect and unwind over a series of evening events. These included our annual welcome drinks, which took place on the first night of the conference, followed by a dinner hosted the following night.

During the conference, firms from across North and Latin America took part in a dedicated showcase designed to deepen cross-border understanding and collaboration. Each firm had the opportunity to present its regional footprint, specialist services and areas of technical strength. Delegates moved between the stands to learn more about the markets these firms operate in, the industries they support and the types of clients they serve. The session created a valuable space for delegates to make new connections, identify shared opportunities and gain a clearer view of the expertise available across the Alliance.

We were thrilled to announce that Randall Janiczek, Partner at Plante Moran, had been appointed as Chair of the Steering Committee.

"The newest members of the Alliance were able to get to know their counterparts from around the globe. The clients in attendance were also able to meet and collaborate in-person with advisors from multiple jurisdictions, demonstrating the power and breath of the alliance."

UK and Ireland Autumn Conference, Birmingham

The UK and Ireland Autumn conference provides a great opportunity for personal growth and development for professionals at manager level. The event focuses on building  relationships internally, within their own teams, or external with clients and connections, and with fellow Praxity members.

Guided sessions were split over two days. After a shared lunch, sessions continued into the evening with a panel discussion, dinner and opportunities to network and then began again the following morning, building on the foundations of the session the day before. As always directors and partners with established relationships used this as an opportunity to strengthen those relationships and support the facilitation of the sessions with managers.

“I have just facilitated the Praxity Alliance UK and Ireland conference. We talked about building and strengthening relationships - I absolutely love this stuff! I get such a high from seeing people engaged, wanting to learn more about themselves, be vulnerable, laugh and just get stuck in.”

Helen Clayton, Managing Partner, PM+M
